In this pilot episode, we build the bones of the city. We place some of the basic rail infrastructure and plan the basic road grid for the city's core, and finish off by placing and detailing a few key buildings in downtown.

SERIES INFO
In this short series, I'll be building a small city set in the Midwest. It's inspired by Oshkosh, Wisconsin but it's meant to be a distant railroad suburb of Chicago that is the terminus of a Metra line. I'll be exploring how Midwest cities and towns experienced and responded to deindustrialization. I'll also be looking at what kinds of development strategies have been employed in more recent years to revive city cores.
