Battlefield Franchise Undergoes Major Shake-Up, EA announces creation of "Battlefield Universe"

EA has announced a massive shake up of the Battlefield franchise, including the creation of a Battlefield Universe linking the games together with narrative storytelling, as well as giving more control to Ripple Effect and a new Seattle-based studio being run by a former Halo creator. This is the biggest news in the history of Battlefield and it means that support for Battlefield 2042 will continue on with more teams behind the franchise than ever.
